Railway 200: A visit to the Inspiration train

Three months ago, I had the chance to attend Railway 200, and I was genuinely impressed. The event, funded by the Railway Heritage Trust, celebrates 200 years of Britain’s railways, highlighting both engineering feats and the people who made them possible. Its mission is to inspire future generations while preserving our railway legacy. The train toured across key railway hubs, from London to Manchester, and at each stop, the general public was invited on to view the interactive exhibits, and learn about the 200 year history of the UK railway. As someone who’s worked in the rail industry for over 20 years, seeing the passion and innovation on display reminded me why I love this sector.
