How do you refresh a 140-year old trade association, so that it remains relevant in the digital age?

Brand identity and Marcomms for the Railway Industry Association

In early 2017, Darren Caplan was brought in to instigate change within this industry association. Three months into the job, we got the call and started working with Darren and the team at RIA.

For our first project, we were tasked with refurbishing and enhancing the physical working environment for RIA’s staff, to make it more modern and themed around the railway industry. Without making any structural changes, we designed and then delivered a lighter, more open-plan office, removing partitions, lightening the wall colours and installing a dozen edge-to-edge wall graphics based on UK rail.

With our most recent project, we have helped modernise the RIA brand and identity too, updating them to give a fresher, more inclusive face to the organisation. Deliverables included designing a refreshed logo, comprehensive brand guidelines and a suite of templates for the RIA team to use in their various communications, particularly covering online and print marketing requirements.
